Welcome The Dances of Universal Peace are a powerful group spiritual practice originating in Sufism. We sing or chant sacred phrases while dancing in a circle. I lead from the centre, accompanying on guitar. Sometimes we alternate male and female voices, sing in harmony, or dance in silence. By opening our voices and hearts, dancing together and honouring sacred traditions of many different peoples and times, we may experience feelings of connectedness, joy, playfulness, healing and release. My repertoire includes dances inspired by Middle Eastern, Indian, Celtic, Hawaiian and Native American traditions.
Dancing in Edinburgh I'd like to start up a fortnightly evening dancing group in Edinburgh. I'm also open to doing a one-off day or half day event. Please contact me if you'd be interested. Also, if you can recommend a suitable, central (but inexpensive) venue, please let me know.	Fortnightly Dancing in Peebles, Thursdays Please come and Dance with me on Thursday evenings, in Peebles from 7.30-9.30 pm. This circle first started dancing in May 2009 and currently has a committed core of around 8 dancers. It's always lovely to see new faces, so please do join us. We Dance every second Thursday. Confirmed future dates: 5th & 19th August 2nd, 16th & 30th September Drop-in price: £4. Four sessions: £12. It's a good idea to check in with me before travelling to a session from a distance.
